XA-MXG represents a new chapter for one of Mexico’s most historic airline names. Following Mexicana’s return to the skies in 2023, the Embraer E190-E2 became part of a new generation for the revived carrier. The registration XA-MXG also carries a piece of Mexicana’s past, having previously been worn by an Airbus A319 of the former airline.
